Middle East: The strike of Sudanese university professors, inclusive and open, continues, Monday, to protest against the decline in salaries, for the second consecutive day, and the study has been completely discontinued, without the signs of a solution or response from the Government to demand a new salary structure and a regulation of conditions of service and other recurrent old demands.
Students returned to school from their headquarters in Khartoum, following the restoration of control by the Sudanese army in March (Air), and about two years after distance study, while tens of thousands of their peers were denied in a number of regions of the country, which are still in combat, including for three years respectively.

وأشار موسى إلى أن عدد الأساتذة الجامعيين حالياً هو نحو 17 ألفاً، منوها بأنه «خلال السنوات القليلة الماضية أحيل عدد كبير منهم إلى المعاش، دون تعيين غيرهم، وهذا يشكل تهديداً للجامعات السودانية بفقدان كثير من الكفاءات العلمية؛ لذلك طالبنا برفع سن المعاش (التقاعد) للأستاذ الجامعي تدريجياً من 65 إلى 75 عاماً».
وسبق أن طُرحت مطالب الأساتذة في عام 2021، وترافقت مع إضراب، بعد أن استُنفدت كل وسائل الإخطار والتفاوض مع الجهات المختصة.
وشددت «لجنة الأساتذة» على «مواصلتها بقوة تنفيذ الإضراب الحالي حتى استجابة الحكومة» لمطالبها كاملة.
وشل الإضراب 35 جامعة حكومية في البلاد، أبرزها جامعة الخرطوم العريقة، وجامعة السودان، و«النيلين»، و«أم درمان الإسلامية»، وكثيراً من الجامعات في ولايات بالبلاد.
وتراجع الحد الأدنى للأجور في السودان إلى مستويات غير مسبوقة بسبب النزاع الدائر في البلاد منذ أبريل (نيسان) 2023، الذي تسبب بدوره في انحدار قيمة الجنيه السوداني إلى حدود دنيا، وسط عجز الحكومة عن إجراء إصلاحات اقتصادية في ظل استمرار الصرف الكبير على الحرب.
وكانت وزارة المالية أقرت زيادة تدريجية في مرتبات العاملين بالدولة في موازنة عام 2026؛ لمجابهة الأوضاع الاقتصادية والتضخم، على أن تُصرف بأثر رجعي بدءاً من مارس (آذار) 2026، لكن ذلك لم ينفذ فعلياً بعد.
