رحب ممثلي الترويكا (النرويج والمملكة المتحدة والولايات المتحدة)، وألمانيا والاتحاد الأوروبي على التوقيع على اتفاق خارطة الطريق من قبل حركة العدل والمساواة، وحركة تحرير السودان-ميني ميناوي، والحركة الشعبية قطاع الشمال وحزب الأمة القومي.

وأضاف البيان أنه وبالتوقيع على خارطة الطريق، فقد أثبتت هذه الجماعات التزاما تستحق الثناء عليه لإنهاء الصراعات في السودان والتحرك نحو عملية الحوار كأساس لسلام دائم في بلدهم.

كما نثني على حكومة السودان لتوقيعها اتفاق خارطة الطريق في 16 مارس 2016، حيث وضحت التزاماتها فيما يتعلق بإدراج غيرها من الجهات المعنية في الحوار الوطني، والاستمرار في دعم أي قرارات تم التوصل إليها بين الموقعين من المعارضة والية 7 +7.

ونحن ندرك ما اعربت به المعارضة من قلق لاحظته لجنة الاتحاد الافريقي رفيعة المستوى. ونعتقد أن هذه من شأنها أن تشكل عناصر مشروعة لاى جدول اعمال لاجتماعات تحضيرية.

يشكل اتفاق خارطة الطريق خطوة قيمة نحو إنهاء الحروب في السودان. ونحن نحث الموقعين على عدم إضاعة المزيد من الوقت والعمل على الاتفاق على وقف الأعمال العدائية ووصول المساعدات الإنسانية الى دارفور والمنطقتين.

في موازاة ذلك، فإننا نشجع أحزاب المعارضة في السودان لاغتنام هذه الفرصة للعمل معا داخل عملية الحوار لتحقيق تسوية سياسية والتصدي للتحديات التي ما زالت تواجه الشعب السوداني. ونناشد حكومة السودان على اتخاذ جميع الخطوات اللازمة لضمان وجود بيئة مواتية لنجاح هذه العملية.

ونود أن نؤكد على الجهود الكبيرة التي تبذلها لجنة الاتحاد الافريقي رفيعة المستوى في المساعدة على تحقيق اتفاق خارطة الطريق، وندعو الموقعين على المشاركة البناءة والمخلصة من أجل تحقيق السلام والاستقرار في السودان.

European Union welcomes the signing of the roadmap in a joint statement with the Troika

The representatives of the Troika (Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States), Germany and the European Union welcome the signing of the Roadmap Agreement by the Justice and Equality Movement, the Sudan Liberation Movement-Minni Minnawi, the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), and the National Umma Party. In signing the Roadmap Agreement, these groups have demonstrated a laudable commitment to ending the conflicts in Sudan and moving towards a process of dialogue as a basis for lasting peace in their country.

We also commend the Government of Sudan for signing the Roadmap Agreement on 16 March 2016, and subsequently clarifying its commitments regarding the inclusion of other relevant stakeholders in the National Dialogue and to continue to uphold any decisions reached between the opposition signatories and the 7+7 Mechanism.

We recognise that the opposition had expressed valid concerns which have been noted by the African Union High-level Implementation Panel (AUHIP). We believe these would constitute legitimate agenda items for any preparatory meetings.

The Roadmap Agreement constitutes a valuable step towards ending the wars in Sudan. We urge the signatories to lose no further time in agreeing a cessation of hostilities and modalities for humanitarian access in Darfur and the Two Areas.

In parallel, we encourage opposition parties in Sudan to seize this opportunity to come together inside a process of dialogue to achieve a political settlement addressing the challenges that continue to face their people. And we appeal to the Government of Sudan to take all necessary steps to ensure a conducive environment for this process to succeed.

We wish to underscore the significant efforts of the AUHIP in helping to achieve this Roadmap Agreement, and we call on the signatories to engage constructively and sincerely to build on the Roadmap in order to realise a peaceful and stable Sudan.
