الممثل الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة ورئيس اليونيتامس يدين الهجوم على مكتب نقابة المحامين السودانيين
أعرب الممثل الخاص للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة في السودان ورئيس بعثة الأمم المتحدة المتكاملة لدعم المرحلة الانتقالية في السودان (يونيتامس) عن قلقه العميق من الهجوم الذي وقع بالأمس على مكتب نقابة المحامين السودانيين في الخرطوم.
وقال فولكر بيرتس:” انني أدين بشدة الهجوم وأي عمل من أعمال العنف لتسوية الخلافات السياسية أو القانونية. لعبت اللجنة التسييرية لنقابة المحامين السودانيين، بغض النظر عن وضعها القانوني، دورًا مهمًا في الدعوة إلى خطاب شامل في سياق العملية السياسية الحالية. إن الهجوم على مكتب نقابة المحامين السودانيين هو إشارة واضحة مرسلة ضد الجهود الجارية للتوصل إلى إجماع مقبول بين القوى السياسية والعسكريين نحو انتقال ديمقراطي حقيقي في السودان.”
وفي وقت سابق من هذا العام ، بادرت نقابة المحامين السودانيين للعمل على مسودة إطار دستوري تم اعتمادها من قبل العديد من الجهات الفاعلة السودانية، وكان بمثابة أساس للمشاورات بين جميع أصحاب المصلحة.
وأضاف بيرتس ان يونيتامس ستواصل تيسير جميع المبادرات التي يقودها السودانيون والتي تدعم الانتقال السلمي. واضاف أنه مع تدهور الوضع الأمني والإنساني يومًا بعد يوم في جميع أنحاء البلاد ، أصبح التوصل إلى حل مقبول على نطاق واسع أكثر إلحاحًا من أي وقت مضى لصالح جميع السودانيين.

SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SECRETARY-GENERAL AND HEAD OF UNITAMS CONDEMNS THE ATTACK AGAINST THE OFFICE OF THE SUDANESE BAR ASSOCIATION
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Sudan and Head of the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) is deeply concerned by yesterday’s attack against the office of the Sudanese Bar Association (SBA) in Khartoum.
“I strongly condemn the attack and any act of violence to settle political or legal disputes. The Steering Committee of the SBA, irrespective of its legal status, has played an important role in advocating for an inclusive discourse in the context of the current political process. The attack against the office of the SBA is a clear signal sent against ongoing efforts to reach an acceptable consensus among political forces and the military towards a genuine democratic transition in Sudan”, said Volker Perthes.
Earlier this year, the Sudanese Bar Association took the initiative to work on a draft constitutional framework that has been endorsed by many Sudanese actors and has served as a basis for consultations between all stakeholders.
“UNITAMS will continue to facilitate all Sudanese-led initiatives that support a peaceful transition. As the security and humanitarian situation is deteriorating day after day throughout the country, reaching a broadly accepted solution is more urgent than ever for the benefit of all Sudanese people”, added Perthes.
