لا تزال منظمة “متحدة إيد” من بين المنظمات القليلة العاملة داخل السودان، حيث تُقدم الغذاء والمأوى العاجلين لآلاف الأشخاص وسط تصاعد الصراع والنزوح.
يشهد السودان حربًا أهلية مدمرة منذ أبريل/نيسان 2023، وقد دخل الصراع عامه الثالث، مما أدى إلى واحدة من أكبر الأزمات الإنسانية في العالم. نزح الملايين، وانهارت الخدمات الأساسية، ولا تزال مناطق شاسعة من البلاد معزولة عن المساعدات. على الرغم من ذلك، تُعد منظمة “متحدة إيد”، وهي منظمة خيرية دولية مقرها المملكة المتحدة، من بين المنظمات القليلة التي لا تزال تعمل على أرض الواقع في الخرطوم، السودان، حيث تُقدم دعمًا حيويًا لإنقاذ الأرواح للمجتمعات التي لا تجد ملجأً آخر.
على الرغم من الظروف الخطيرة المتزايدة ومحدودية وصول المساعدات الإنسانية، تواصل منظمة “متحدة إيد” تقديم دعم حيوي على نطاق واسع. تدير المنظمة حاليًا مطابخ طوارئ تُطعم أكثر من 4000 شخص يوميًا، إلى جانب توفير إمدادات غذائية شهرية لآلاف الأسر المُستضعفة. واستجابةً للنزوح الجماعي، تعمل فرقها أيضًا على بناء مساكن مؤقتة لأكثر من 1000 عائلة فقدت منازلها.
أجبر النزاع المستمر الملايين على النزوح من ديارهم، ودمر البنية التحتية الحيوية، وترك أعدادًا هائلة منهم دون إمكانية الحصول على الغذاء والماء النظيف والرعاية الطبية بشكل منتظم. وانقطعت خدمات أساسية عن مجتمعات بأكملها، وتضررت المستشفيات أو اكتظت بالمرضى، وتعطلت طرق الإمداد بشدة. وفي مناطق عديدة، بات إيصال المساعدات أكثر خطورة بسبب العنف المستمر والغارات الجوية وعدم الاستقرار، مما يُصعّب على المنظمات الإنسانية العمل بأمان أو الوصول إلى المحتاجين.
ونتيجةً لذلك، ظهرت فجوة حرجة في الدعم الإنساني، لا سيما في مناطق مثل الخرطوم، مما جعل الأسر تعتمد اعتمادًا كبيرًا على عدد قليل من المنظمات التي لا تزال قادرة على الحفاظ على وجودها داخل البلاد. وبالنسبة للكثيرين، تُعدّ هذه الشواغر المحدودة، مثل العمل الحيوي الذي تقوم به منظمة منتزه إيد، المصدر الوحيد للغذاء والمأوى والمساعدة الأساسية المتاحة.
علّق كبير ميا، مدير مشروع في منظمة منتزه إيد، قائلاً: “إن ما نشهده على أرض الواقع يفوق ما يدركه معظم الناس. فقد نزحت مجتمعات بأكملها، وتعيش عائلات على الكفاف. بالنسبة للكثيرين، تُعدّ الوجبات التي نوفرها لهم الطعام الوحيد الذي سيحصلون عليه في ذلك اليوم. الحاجة ماسة، لكن الوصول إلى المساعدات يزداد صعوبة وخطورة. مع ذلك، نحن ملتزمون بالبقاء ودعم من تُركوا وراءهم.”
يُتيح استمرار وجود منظمة منتزه إيد رؤيةً مباشرة ونادرة للأوضاع داخل السودان، حيث أدّى محدودية الوصول وانشغال العالم بمناطق أخرى إلى عدم تغطية الأزمة بشكل كافٍ رغم حجمها. ومع استمرار تدهور الوضع، تدعو المنظمة إلى زيادة الوعي بالأزمة وتكثيف الاهتمام الدولي بالاحتياجات الإنسانية العاجلة للشعب السوداني.

One of the Last Aid Lifelines in Sudan: Charity Feeding Thousands of People Daily as Crisis Deepens
Muntada Aid remains among the very few organisations operating inside Sudan, delivering urgent food and shelter to thousands amid escalating conflict and displacement.
Sudan has been gripped by a devastating civil war since April 2023, with the conflict now entering its third year and triggering one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. Millions have been displaced, basic services have collapsed, and vast areas of the country remain cut off from aid. Despite this, UK-based international aid charity, Muntada Aid, is among the very few organisations still operating on the ground in Khartoum, Sudan, providing critical, life-saving support to communities with nowhere else to turn.
Despite increasingly dangerous conditions and limited humanitarian access, Muntada Aid continues to deliver vital frontline support at scale. The organisation is currently running emergency kitchens feeding over 4,000 people each day, alongside providing monthly food supplies to thousands of vulnerable households. In response to mass displacement, teams are also building temporary accommodation for more than 1,000 families who have lost their homes.
The ongoing conflict has forced millions from their homes, destroyed critical infrastructure, and left vast numbers without reliable access to food, clean water, or medical care. Entire communities have been cut off from essential services, with hospitals damaged or overwhelmed and supply routes severely disrupted. In many areas, aid delivery has become increasingly dangerous due to ongoing violence, airstrikes, and instability, making it significantly harder for humanitarian organisations to operate safely or reach those most in need.
As a result, a critical gap in humanitarian support has emerged, especially in areas like Khartoum, leaving families heavily reliant on the small number of organisations still able to maintain a presence inside the country. For many, these limited lifelines, such as the vital work carried out by Muntada Aid, are the only source of food, shelter, and basic assistance available.
Kabir Miah, Project Manager at Muntada Aid, commented, “What we’re seeing on the ground is beyond what most people realise. Entire communities have been uprooted, and families are surviving with almost nothing. For many people, the meals we provide are the only food they will have that day. The need is overwhelming, but access is becoming harder and more dangerous. Despite this, we are committed to staying and supporting those who have been left behind.”
Muntada Aid’s continued presence provides rare, direct insight into conditions inside Sudan, where limited access and global attention on other regions have left the crisis largely underreported despite its scale. As the situation continues to deteriorate, the charity is calling for greater awareness of the crisis and increased international attention on the urgent humanitarian needs of the Sudanese people.
