أعلنت بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان أنه في اطار مهرجان الفلم الاوروبي يستضيف سفير الاتحاد الاوربي توماس يوليشني حفل استقبال للاحتفال بحملة القلب الازرق لمكافحة الاتجار بالبشر وعرض الفيلم الوثائقي “هذه ليس حياتي” والذى سيشاهده عدد من الإعلاميين والدبلوماسيين والناشطين والشباب. السفير توماس يوليشني قال ان حملة القلب الأزرق هي حملة دولية أطلقت في عام 2010 من قبل مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة. أنا سعيد لاستضافة هذا الاحتفال لزيادة الوعى بضرورة مكافحة الاتجار بالبشر. وأضاف السفير توماس ان الاتجار بالبشر يشكل انتهاكا خطيرا لحقوق الإنسان وجريمة تجرد ضحاياها من حقوقهم، وتدمر أحلامهم، وتسلب منهم كرامتهم. إنها مشكلة عالمية وليس هناك بلد في مأمن منها . وأضاف سفير الاتحاد الاوروبي أن السودان حقق خطوات جريئة في الحد من الاتجار بالبشر بما في ذلك إصدار مشروع قانون من قبل المجلس الوطني، واستضافة السودان للمؤتمر الإقليمي للإتجار بالبشر. وأضاف سفير الاتحاد الاوروبي أنه يأمل أن يؤيد كل السودانيين والمسؤولين الحكوميين والصحفيين، والنشطاء الفاعلين في تعزيز حملة الامم المتحدة للقلب لمكافحة الاتجار بالبشر. وأضاف السفير توماس أن تعزيز حملة القلب الأزرق هو دعم للجهود المشتركة لمكافحة جريمة الاتجار بالبشر
European Union and the UN celebrates the Blue Heart Campaign against human trafficking
The Delegation of the European Union to Sudan announced that European Union Ambassador Tomas Ulicny will host tomorrow a reception to promote the Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking. The reception will include the screening of the documentary Film Not My Life. The event will be attended by media, diplomats, activists and youth. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny said the Blue Heart is an international campaign launched in 2010 by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. I am glad to host this event to rally Sudanese public opinion against human trafficking. Ambassador Tomas added Human Trafficking is a serious violation of human rights and is a crime that strips people of their rights, ruins their dreams, and robs them of their dignity. It is a global problem and no country is immune. Millions of victims are exploited every year through this modern form of slavery. Ambassador Tomas said Sudan has conducted positive steps in curbing human trafficking including the passing of a bill by the National Assembly, hosting of regional workshops and the recognizable efforts of the security forces in detaining trafficking gangs along the borders. But this enough, I hope that all the Sudanese, government officials, journalists, actors and activists will join in promoting the UN Blue Heart Campaign against Human trafficking. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny added that both the European Union and the United Nations are partners in defending human rights and promoting universal values that connects us all. Promoting Blue Heart Campaign is a recognition of our shared efforts to combat the crime of human trafficking. I hope we can all support this cause and have blue hearts.
