تقيم بعثة الاتحاد الاوربي في الخرطوم حفل استقبال اليوم بمناسبة انضمام جمهورية كرواتيا للاتحاد الاوروبي لتكون الدولة العضو الثمانية وعشرون. ويأتى هذا الاحتفال متزامنا مع احتفالات الاتحاد الاوروبي حول العالم بالعضوية الجديدة لجمهورية كرواتيا. وسيقوم السفير توماس يوليشنى رئيس بعثة الاتحاد الاوروبي في السودان و سفير جمهورية كرواتيا المقيم بجمهورية مصر العربية السيد داركو جافورسكي بالقاء كلمة في حفل الاستقبال والذى سيشرفه القنصل الفخرى لجمهورية كرواتيا المهندس السيد عثمان محجوب ويحضره الدبلوماسيين والسياسيين ورموز المجتمع المدني واعضاء الجاليات الاوروبية والجالية الكرواتية المقيمة في السودان وسيشهد الاحتفال مقطوعات موسيقية كلاسيكية يقدمها الموسيقيين السودانيين مريم عثمان و حسام عبد السلام.
وتقع جمهورية كرواتيا في وسط اوروبا على البحر الابيض المتوسط ولقد كانت كرواتيا احدى الجمهوريات المكونة لجمهورية يوغسلافيا والتى حصلت على استقلالها في عام 1991 . وقد قامت الحكومات في كرواتيا ببناء شبكة بنية تحتية كبيرة لتربطها باوروبا و تم اصلاح نظامها التعليمي والصحي واعتماد التحول الديمقراطي واحترام حقوق الانسان مما شجعها على التقدم للانضمام للاتحاد الاوروبي.
وقال سفير الاتحاد الاوروبي توماس يوليشنى ان انضمام كرواتيا حدث سياسي مهم في اوروبا يؤكد ان مسيرة الاتحاد الاوربي ماضية وتؤكد ان الدول الاعضاء ستسفيد من قيم الاتحاد الاوروبي المشتركة مثل الديمقراطية ودولة القانون واحترام حقوق الانسان داخل وخارج الحدود الاوربية.
European Union celebrates the joining of its 28th Member State
On the occasion of the Republic of Croatia’s accession to the European Union as it’s 28 Member State, the Delegation of the European Union to Sudan hosts a reception today. The reception will be addressed by their Excellencies Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan and Mr. Darko Javorski, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Sudan. The reception will be attended by diplomats, Sudanese politicians, Croatian community and will include a Piano and Violin performance by the Sudanese duo Meriam Osman and Hosam Abdel Salam.
Croatia will be the 28th Member State to the European Union and is located alongside the Mediterranean Sea. Since its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, Croatia has benefited from an extensive partnership with the European Union. Croatian governments have since the independence worked towards establishing institutional and legislative frameworks, further linking the country to the European Union in a wide range of areas.
Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan notes that Croatia’s accession is an important political event in Europe and a clear indication of the many benefits the European Union brings to its Members. This includes joint efforts to enhance common values, such as democracy, rule of law and respect for human rights, both within and beyond European borders.
