كل وسائل الإعلام مدعوة لتغطية الجلسة الافتتاحية للإجتماع الرابع عشر للجنة متابعة تنفيذ وثيقة الدوحة للسلام في دارفور، وذلك في يوم الأحد،9 ديسمبر 2018 عند الساعة 09:30 صباحا بفندق كورنثيا، شارع النيل، الخرطوم.
كما سيطلع كل من رئيس لجنة المتابعة، سعادة الدكتور ماجد بن مطلق القحطاني، المبعوث الخاص لوزارة خارجية دولة قطر لشؤون مكافحة الارهاب والوساطة وحل النزاعات، وجيريمايا مامابولو،الممثل الخاص المشترك ورئيس بعثة الاتحاد الافريقي والامم المتحدة في دارفور(اليوناميد) وكبيرالوسطاء المشترك – سيطلعان وسائل الإعلام على مخرجات الإجتماع عقب ختامه في الساعة 12:30من ظهيرة ذات اليوم .
اللجنة، التي ترأسها دولة قطر، هي الآلية الرئيسة لمراقبة تنفيذ أتفاقية الدوحة للسلام في دارفور. وتضم اللجنة في عضويتها حكومة السودان،حزب التحريروالعدالة، حزب التحرير والعدالة القومي، حركة تحرير السودان – الثورة الثانية ،حركة العدل والمساواة- السودان ، بالإضافة الى ممثلين من كندا، تشاد، الصين، مصر، فرنسا، اليابان، روسيا الاتحادية ،المملكة المتحدة لبريطانيا العظمى وأيرلندا الشمالية، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، الإتحاد الإفريقي، الإتحاد الأوروبي، جامعة الدول العربية، منظمة التعاون الإسلامي و اليوناميد، التي تعمل أيضا على تسهيل الإجتماع .

DDPD Implementation Follow-up Commission to meet in Khartoum to discuss progress and challenges
All media are invited to the opening ceremony of the 14th meeting of the Implementation Follow–up Commission (IFC), established by the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD), which will take place on Sunday, 09 December 2018, at 09:30 hours, at Corinthia Hotel, Nile Street in Khartoum.
The Chairperson of the IFC, His Excellency Dr. Maged bin Mutlaq al-Qahtani, Special Envoy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Counterterrorism, Mediation and Conflict Resolution of the State of Qatar, and the African Union-United Nation Joint Special Representative and Joint Chief Mediator for Darfur, Jeremiah Mamabolo will brief the press on the outcome of the meeting after its conclusion at approximately 12:30 hours.
The Commission, chaired by the State of Qatar, is the major mechanism for monitoring implementation of the DDPD. Commission membership includes the Government of the Sudan, the Liberation and Justice Party, the National Liberation and Justice Party, the Sudan Liberation Movement – Second Revolution , the Justice and Equality Movement-Sudan, representatives of Canada, Chad, China, Egypt, France, Japan, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, the African Union, the European Union, the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and UNAMID, which is also facilitating the meeting.
