Wow ! She was as stout as a wrestler , compacted like a boxer , witty enough to make herself a pivot of concentration drawn to wherever she moved along the class up and down , east or west while she was lecturing the keen audience about a subject so dearly to them
and at same time they badly needed !!..
Oh ! The taxi dropped us at Robbins Dale Engineering and Art School where my grandson Alfatih was registered as a toddler.
That day my daughter and me would be ourselves students under care of Miss Valarie , the parents teacher who was known for her vast experience in conveying the latest arts of managing little kids through providing their guardians with practically proven studies and ample exercises , either discussed in collaboration with the group who were enthusiastically indulged themselves in interviewing the agenda posted on the board one after the other causing the class to resemble a bee hive shelf .
By the way taking snacks during the session was allowed. Beforehand participants were informed to along bring with them a kind of food that reflected culture of the community they belonged to.
My daughter prepared a typical Sudanese dish of ( Tagalia surrounding Assida ( solid porridge ) along with another dish of ( Shiareia and Soksokania ) , but I think Tamia , Kofta and home made ( Pasta ) held the breath of all and at that day our food won the Oscar of fine diet ever known recently.
Miss vallarei discussed with us nearly every aspects of sound up bringing of little children ranging from feeding them the healthiest items and keep them safe while they are playing.
She even urged husbands to share with the household works willingly .
This huge school was only a kindergarten , Within it’s premises , in addition to classes and offices , there was a dentistry , a library and a media centre.
Our infant was so lucky to start his early education at such well established and sofisticated grand school where he could draw , play music and go to the gym , learn languages and read as many books as he liked freely .
The taxi drove us back home and after all these years that had passed l still remember the Jamaican girl Vallarei who masterfully gave lessons to parents to make them go on line with the procedures and disciplines of being closed to their loved ones , the babies to guarantee that their future will be brilliant and brighter .
Thank you Vallarei where ever you are now , in your beloved country Jamaica or you are still carrying on your grand mission in USA ( Dream Land ) .
To be continued .
