I agree with you that being pedantic about minor matters of language and grammar hampers one’s originality, ruins spontaneity and weakens self-confidence as you rightly said. So long as you are clear enough in explaining yourself, it doesn’t matter how you deliver it.
It is a pleasure communicating and exchanging thoughts with you.. in Arabic or English… even in Hindi!! This how one learns and progresses.

Here is my response :
Being pedantic creats a deep language barrier between the educator and the educated . Moreover their agony doubled when the language is inbeing taught to them is thought over in Arabic only to be delivered in English.
Sudanese at all levels due to lack of extensive reading and direct contact with English native speakers , English language mastering among them deteriorated to the lowest levels beyond any believing or imagining.
Even the translation process performed in Sudan besides it’s scarcity , it suffers alot from literaism making it tasteless , meaningless and of no use by all means.
I , personally after have spent half a century in teaching English at intermediate and secondary schools and unofficially at higher education ، regretfully I came to a conclusion that all those years I tried my best to instill in the minds of my students how to taste the expressions but not to keep them by heart to evensully fill the exam papers with to satisfy the examiner and the guardians all together .
I know it is a stalemate that degraded both the students and the teachers along wjth the superiors at education offices and the ministry of education altogether .
Hope that Mr. Sami, you furnish us with the rich vocabulary that you own and the formatin of sentences you engineer majestically at home higher professionality .
