حذر من خطر التطرف في كل الأديان

اختتمت بعثة الاتحاد الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان أسبوع من الأحداث للاحتفال باليوم العالمي لحرية الصحافة. وشملت الأحداث زيارات لعدد من الصحف السودانية و اقامة مأدبة غداء مع الصحفيين المستقلين السودانيين. كما قام سفير الاتحاد الاوربي بزيارة مجلس الصحافة والمطبوعات ولجنة الاعلام بالمجلس الوطنى والتقى مع أعضائها لمناقشة القوانين التي تحمي الحريات الصحفية و التعرف على الجهود المبذولة لتعزيز الصحافة في السودان.

في جميع الاجتماعات، دعا سفير الاتحاد الاوروبي توماس يوليشنى  الى لمزيد من حرية الصحافة للصحفيين مؤكدا أن فترة الحوار الوطني تتطلب حرية التعبير. وأشاد السفير توماس يوليشنى بدور  الصحفيين السودانيين في إعلام الناس ونشر الوعي حول التحديات التي تواجه السودان.

وقال سفير الاتحاد الاوربي : أن  لقاءاتى مع الصحفيين السودانيين كانت مهمة للتعرف على التحديات التي تواجه الصحافة في السودان مثل تنفيذ القوانين، وصعوبات العمل، والوصول إلى المعلومات، والأثر الاقتصادي على الصحافة وهجرة الصحفيين، والصحافة النسائية في السودان”. وصرح سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي أن حرية الصحافة تطور المجتمعات لأنها تزيد الوعي حول التحديات والقضايا المشتركة التي يتعين معالجتها من قبل المجتمعات.

European Union Ambassador calls for more freedoms for journalists in Sudan

The Delegation of the European Union to Sudan concluded a week of events to celebrate the World Press Freedom Day.  The events included visits to a number of Sudanese newspapers and a lunch with Sudanese independent journalists.  In parallel, the Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan Ambassador Tomas Ulicny visited the Sudanese Press and Publications Council and the National Assembly and met with its members to discuss the laws protecting press freedoms and strengthening journalism in Sudan. 

In all the meetings, the European Union Ambassador Tomas Ulicny called for more press freedom to journalists stressing that the period of national dialogue requires freedom of expression.  Ambassador Tomas Ulicny praised the role of Sudanese Journalists in informing the people and bringing awareness about the challenges that faces Sudan. 

“At the meetings with the Sudanese Journalists I was fully informed about the challenges that face Journalism in Sudan like the implementation of laws, work difficulties, access to information, economic impact on journalism, journalists brain drain, and women journalism in Sudan” Ambassador Tomas said.  The European Union Ambassador stated that press freedom improves societies as it increases awareness about common challenges and issues to be tackled by the communities.

سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي يحذر من خطر التطرف في كل الأديان

بمناسبة عطلة عيد الفصح، قام سفير الاتحاد الاوربي السفيرتوماس يوليشنى رئيس بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي فيالسودان بزيارة عددا من الكنائس والقساوسة وهنأ زعماء الجالية القبطية والشباب في الاعياد الدينية الخاصة بهم. وخلال زيارته أكد سفير الاتحاد الاوربي توماس يوليشنى أن الاتحاد الأوروبي يدعم حرية الأديان والعبادة. وأضاف أن الحوار بين كل الأديان و العمل علي تعزيز التسامح داخل المجتمعات لمواجهة التطرف الذي يشكل تهديدا لجميع الأديان. كما صرح سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي أنه ينبغي بذل جهد في الحريات الدينية وتعزيز حوار الأديان لتحقيق السلام الوطني والإقليمي والدولي.

European Union Ambassador warns against the Danger of Extremism in all Religions

On the occasion of the Easter Holidays, Ambassador Tomas Ulicny Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan visited a number of churches, priests and congratulated the Coptic community leaders and youth on their feast.  During his visit Ambassador Tomas Ulicny confirmed that the European Union supports freedom of religions and worship.  He added that interfaith dialogue will strengthen the tolerance within communities to confront extremism which is a threat to all religions.  The European Union Ambassador stated that an effort should be made in addressing religious freedom and co existence between religions to achieve national, regional and international peace.
