بعد قرأتى للمقال ترددت. ما متأكد هل أعلق بالعربى أو بالانقليزى. بعد تفكير قررت انقليزى طالما المقال مكتوب بالانقليزى.
Although the article is about a simple and normal incident, just two Sudanese individuals one young and the other old get caught in a foreign land, in a shop, and try to communicate, the article is deeply pensive, and closes with a nostalgic yet thoughtful sentence typically Sudanese and also humorous.
سمحات دبابيرو.
I noticed that the general style of the article is British English rather than American English. However there are certain American words such as ” I guessed” An English person would say ” I thought”
Your style of translation as shown by this article is different. I don’t know if your other work follows the same narrative style.
And here in return my comment on the distinctive remarks being deftly nioticed by Mr. Sami :
Let us first begin with ( deeply pensive ) , a sentence by which you described the article , I just never concealed it satisfied my ego and filled me with much joy .
Aalso your admiration to translation of سمحات دبابيرو as typically Sudanese and humorous .
By the way Mr. Sami , there are two events drawn my attention to communicative English without adhering to restriction of grammar , this grammar which Sudanese fond of as something that they can’t do without , the matter that deprive them from their confidence in themselves and keeping them hesitant, shy and
non expressive.
Teaching at the American Discussion Club and my travel to America st intervals boosted my ability to communicate safely wherever the forum is available.
In America for the first time I came across new words like Naiive , Cool ( means nice ) , Absolutely ( used very much by Americans during a conversation) , Figure out ( think the matter over .
