إلى أبناء وبنات السودان،
في ظل الأزمات المتتالية التي تعصف بوطننا العزيز، نتوجه إليكم اليوم بقلوب مليئة بالأمل والعزيمة، لنحيي ذكرى ثورة أكتوبر المجيدة، التي أظهرت قوة الإرادة الشعبية في مواجهة الظلم والاستبداد.
تأتي هذه الذكرى العظيمة في وقت نواجه فيه تحديات جسيمة تتمثل في الحروب والنزاعات التي تفتك بأرضنا وتدمر حاضرنا ومستقبل أبنائنا. إن المبادرة السودانية ضد الحرب تؤكد أن السلام هو الخيار الوحيد لبناء وطن يسوده الأمان والاستقرار.
نستمد إلهامنا من ثورة أكتوبر، التي علمتنا أن النضال من أجل الحرية وأن الحقوق لا تتجزأ، وأن صوت الشعب يجب أن يُسمع.
نعلن اليوم عن موقفنا الثابت:
1. وقف الحرب: نطالب بوقف جميع الأعمال العدائية وإحلال السلام في جميع أنحاء السودان.
2. دعوة القوى الوطنية: ندعو جميع القوى الوطنية التي فجرت الثورات للقيام بدورها والمضي نحو الاصطفاف من أجل تحقيق مطالب الشعب في الحرية والسلام والعدالة.
3. محاسبة قادة الحرب: من أجل عدم تكرار الحروب واستمرار الدمار، يجب الإصرار على تقديم قادة الحرب إلى محاكمات عادلة تتناسب مع الجرائم ضد الإنسانية والاعتداءات الجسيمة على أبناء وبنات شعبنا، وجبر الأضرار النفسية والمادية لجميع المتضررين.
4. تثبيت مبادئ عدم الإفلات من العقاب: من المهم تثبيت مبادئ ضمان عدم الإفلات من العقاب وعدم سقوط الجرائم بالتقادم، حتى لا تتكرر.
كما نعلن أن المبادرة ستنظم احتفالاً بهذه المناسبة، ونهيب بالجميع المشاركة في هذا الحدث الهام، لنظهر للعالم أن صوت الشعب السوداني لن يهدأ حتى يتحقق السلام والحرية، ونبني معًا دولة العدالة.
إننا نجدد العهد على السير على درب المناضلين والشهداء الذين ضحوا من أجل وطنهم، ونعمل جميعًا من أجل تحقيق السلام والعدالة. فلنقف جميعًا في وجه الحرب، ولنُعلي صوت السلام والمحبة.
عاشت ثورة أكتوبر، وعاش السودان حراً موحدًا.
المجد للشهداء، والسلام للضحايا.

Statement from the Sudanese Initiative Against War on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the historic October Revolution (1964-2024)
Date: October 21, 2024.
To the free people of Sudan,
In view of the ongoing challenges in our dear homeland, we address you today with hearts full of hope and determination, commemorating the anniversary of the magnificent October Revolution, which revealed the power of public will in resisting oppression and tyranny.
This historic event occurs at a time when we are confronted with tremendous challenges in the form of wars and conflicts that damage our land and destroy our children’s futures. The Sudanese Initiative Against War believes that peace is the only viable alternative for creating a safe and stable state.
We are inspired by the October Revolution, which taught us that the struggle for freedom and rights are inextricably linked, and that the people’s voice must be heard.
Today, we express our unwavering position.
1. Cessation of War: We demand an end to all hostilities and the establishment of peace in Sudan.
2. Call to National Forces: We urge all national forces that sparked revolutions to fulfil their responsibilities and work together to meet the people’s aspirations for freedom, peace, and justice.
3. War Leader Accountability: To prevent future wars and destruction, it is critical to insist on bringing war leaders to fair trials in accordance with crimes against humanity and serious violations against our people, as well as providing redress for psychological and material damages to all affected.
4. Affirmation of Non-Impunity Principles: It is critical to develop principles that ensure non-impunity and that crimes do not become obsolete in order to prevent repetition.
We also announce that the initiative will organise a celebration on this occasion, and we encourage everyone to attend in order to demonstrate to the world that the Sudanese people’s voice will not be silenced until peace and independence are won, and we work together to create a state of justice.
We reiterate our promise to follow in the footsteps of the fighters and martyrs who gave their lives for their motherland, and we all work together to achieve peace and justice. Let us all stand against war and raise the voices of peace and love.
Long live the October Revolution, and may Sudan become free and united.
Victory to the martyrs, and peace to the victims.
