سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي يدعو السودان للتوجه نحو الحوار الوطني الشامل

استقبل البروفسير ابراهيم غندور، مساعد رئيس الجمهورية في مكتبه بالقصر الجمهوري السفير توماس يوليشني رئيس بعثة الاتحاد الاوروبي في السودان. وقد أبلغ سفير الاتحاد الاوروبي الصحفيين في نهاية الاجتماع أنه نقل إلى البروفيسور إبراهيم غندور التزام الاتحاد الأوروبي بمواصلة دعم الحلول السلمية في السودان. ودعا سفير الاتحاد الاوروبي الحكومة السودانية الى مواصلة دعم وتسهيل مهمة و مساعى لجنة الوساطة الافريقية رفيعة المستوى برئاسة الرئيس ثابو امبيكي. وأكد السفير توماس يوليشنى أن المجتمع الدولي يرغب في حوار وطني حقيقي يتحقق من خلال انطلاق اجتماعات اللجنة 7 +7 وضمان مشاركة جميع الأطراف السودانية داخل السودان وخارجه في الحوار واطلاق السجناء السياسيين والحريات. وأضاف سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي أن السودان في مفترق طرق ويجب اغتنام الفرص لمواصلة طريق الإصلاحات والتحول الديمقراطي. وتعهد السفير توماس بمواصلة الاتحاد الأوروبي في مساعدة السودانيين على مساعدة أنفسهم وأن الاتحاد الاوروبي ليس مهتما في فرض أو التدخل في القضايا الداخلية للسودان. ودافع سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي عن سياسات الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان وحذر من جماعات الضغط المتطرفة والمتشددة التي تعمل على الاضرار ضد تقدم العلاقات بين السودان وأوروبا.

European Union Ambassador call on Sudan to thrust with an inclusive National Dialogue

H.E. Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour, assistant to the President received at his office in the Republican Palace H.E. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan. After the meeting, the European Union Ambassador informed the journalists that he conveyed to Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour the European Union’s commitment to continue favoring peaceful solutions in Sudan. The European Union diplomat called on the Sudanese government to continue to support the endeavor and the mediation of the African Union High Implementation Panel (AUHIP) led by President Thabo Mbeki. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny confirmed that the international assurance in the national dialogue will be achieved if the 7 +7 Committee meetings kick off, all Sudanese parties inside and outside Sudan are included into the dialogue and all the political prisoners are released and basic freedoms are guaranteed. The European Union Ambassador added that Sudan is at a crossroad and should benefit from the opportunity to engage in reforms and democratization. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny pledged that the European Union will continue to help the Sudanese to help themselves and is not interested in imposing or interfering in the internal issues of Sudan confirming the European Union supports to the AUHIP mediation. In parallel, European Union Ambassador defended the EU policies on Sudan and warned against extreme and hardline lobbies who continue to harm the progress of relations between Sudan and Europe.
