Excerpts ( cuttings ) of copies of previous articles arranged elegantly were my hope to posses the trust of the National Council for Press and Journalistic Publications .
The above mentioned body is authorised to issue Journalistic Registration for those candidates who pass the exam set for that purpose along with the ones , like my case , who can offer a bundle of previous articles to be examined thoroughly in order to judge their good quality that qualify for gaining the licence of a professional journalist.
I presented my file to the desk of the official at the council, who promised that their reply would be ready within few days.
They were at their word ، soon , unfortunately I learnt that , according to their desion , Iam allowed to fill a post of Opinion Writer but Iam denied to be a columnist.
Of course I was bewildered and felt deeply sad to miss the opportunity of conveying my thoughts through a platform that is soley and wholly mine .
Now let us forget about the depression that grabbed me by the neck and is about to paralyse my thjnking .
I still remember Sudan Vision , the famous English Daily Newspaper, an affiliate of the Arabic Newspaper ( Al – Rai Al – aam ) .
Mr. Rashid, editor – in – chief of Sudan Vision led this paper successfuly till it’s elder sister Al – Rai Al – aam was closed and accordingly Sudan Vision discontinued.
I joined Sudan Vision , writiing form afar, from America, in full cooperation with Mr. Rashid, who behaved to us nicely and tenderly.
I continued writing in the Opinion Page, my efforts were cowned by a column ( titled ( Very Realistic ) beng entrusted to me by mr. Rashid, a gift which raised high my morales, giving me full trust in my self, furthermore paving my way to Journalistic Professionalim .
