أعلنت بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي وسفارات الدول الاوروبية الاعضاء و سفارة النرويج البيان التالي المشترك:
“إن رؤساء بعثات الاتحاد الأوروبي والدول الاوروبية الاعضاء وسفير النرويج في الخرطوم يعبروا عن بالغ قلقهم على استمرار عدم الاستقرار وانعدام الأمن في دارفور على وجه الخصوص، وهم يتابعوا بقلق المزاعم الواردة عن العنف الجنسي في قرية تابت بشمال دارفور.
أن رؤساء بعثات الاتحاد الأوروبي والدول الاوروبية الاعضاء وسفير النرويج يتابعوا بدقة إعلان وزير العدل السوداني للتحقيق في المزاعم الواردة ونتوقع نشر تحقيق كامل من قبل ياسر أحمد محمد، المدعي الخاص لجرائم في دارفور. كما اننا نشعر بالانزعاج بسبب عدم الوصول السريع والحر للبعثة المشتركة للأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأفريقي في دارفور (يوناميد). نحن نحث حكومة السودان على منح حق الوصول غير المقيد والمستمر لموظفي اليوناميد لاجراء تحقيق شامل في تابت، وذلك تمشيا مع ولايتها، والعمل على ضمان وصول العاملين في المجال الإنساني. كما نحث حكومة السودان لضمان مساءلة أي شخص ثبت ارتكابه لانتهاكات.
أن رؤساء بعثات الاتحاد الأوروبي وسفير النرويج في الخرطوم يذكرون أنه يجب أن توفر الدولة الحماية لضحايا العنف والمعاملة الكريمة لهم وتمكينهم من الوصول إلى العدالة، وذلك تمشيا مع وثيقة الدوحة للسلام في دارفور و المعاهدات الدولية لحقوق الإنسان والقانون الإنساني التي يعد السودان طرفا فيها. ويتوقع السفراء ورؤساء البعثات أن الجولة القادمة من المحادثات التي تعقدها اللجنة رفيعة المستوى للاتحاد الأفريقي في أديس أبابا سوف تساهم في بناء الثقة والسلام في النيل الأزرق وجنوب كردفان ودارفور “.
EU and Norway follow with concern the reported allegations of sexual violence in Darfur

The Delegation of the European Union and the Embassies of its Member States in Sudan, as well as the Embassy of Norway issue the following statement:
“The EU Heads of Mission and the Ambassador of Norway in Khartoum express their apprehension over the continued instability and insecurity in Darfur. In particular, we have been following with concern the reported allegations of sexual violence in the village of Tabit in North Darfur.
The EU Heads of Mission and the Ambassador of Norway take careful note of the announcement of the Minister of Justice of Sudan to investigate the reports and expect the publication of a full inquiry by Yasir Ahmed Mohamed, the Special Prosecutor for Crimes in Darfur. However, we are disturbed by the lack of swift and free access given to the United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID). We urge the Government of Sudan to grant unrestricted and continued access to UNAMID personnel to conduct a thorough investigation in Tabit, in line with their mandate, and to guarantee access of humanitarian actors. We further urge the Government of Sudan to ensure that anyone found to have committed violations be held to account.
The EU Heads of Mission and the Ambassador of Norway in Khartoum recall that victims of sexual violence must be assured of the state’s protection, dignified treatment and access to justice, in line with the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur and international human rights and humanitarian law instruments to which Sudan is party and express expectation that the upcoming round of talks convened by the African Union High Level Implementation Panel in Addis Ababa will contribute to confidence building and peace in the Blue Nile, South Kordofan and Darfur.”
