الكاتب المسرحي عفيف إسماعيل يشارك في منتدى المسرح الأسترالي الدوري

تحت شعار ” اسمع، اختبر، تكلم، واحتفل”. يُعقد في أكتوبر ٢٠١٧م الجاري منتدى المسرح الأسترالي الدوري بمدينة “ادليد” عاصمة ولاية جنوب استراليا، حيث يشارك الكاتب المسرحي والشاعر السوداني الأسترالي عفيف إسماعيل ضمن عشرة من العاملين في حقل فنون الأداء بولاية غرب استراليا في فعاليات المنتدى الأسترالي للمسرح في أكتوبر الجاري ٢٠١٧م.
أيضا تم اختيار عفيف ضمن ستة كُتاب من ولايات استرالية اخرى للمشاركة في مشروع” الموسوعة الادائية” الذي ترعاه شركة كندية ، و ستبدأ ورشة عمل للكتابة قبل يومين من بداية منتدى المسرح الأسترالي و لهذه الورشة شروط خاصة في الممارسة الاحترافية للكتابة مثل: الكتابة بمعزل عن محركات البحث الإلكتروني او القواميس والموسوعات الورقية، أي الاعتماد على الذاكرة البشرية واختزانها و هذا هو رهان هذه الورشة التي سيتم تقديم حصادها في اليوم الختامي لمنتدى المسرح الأسترالي بحيث يكون ذلك في شكل كتاب يشترك في كتابته عشرة كتاب و في زمن وجيز لا يتعدى أربعة ايام فقط بحيث تكون الكتابة في موضوعات متفرقة يتم من خلالها عصف ذهني للموضوعات في اليوم الاول، و سيتم توزيع الكتاب في اليوم قبل الختامي في قاعة للقراءة الصامتة، ثم تتم قراءته وتسجيله في اليوم الأخير ليصبح من ضمن محتويات مكتبة التسجيل الحي المباشر الكندية.
وفي هذا الصدد، صرح الكاتب المسرحي والشاعر والكاتب المسرحي عفيف إسماعيل لإذاعة “اس بي اس” العربية الأسترالية قائلا: ” هذه هي مشاركتي الثانية في هذا المنتدى القومي بأستراليا، حيث تلعب مثل هذه الملتقيات دوراً كبيراً في تطوير كل المشاركين بها من ناحية تبادل الخبرات الاحترافية على المستوى القومي لكل ما يخص صناعة المسرح، وتدعم اتجاه انتشار الإنتاج المسرحي بحضور الممثلين الإداريين لكبرى شركات المسرح الأسترالية,”
وأضاف: “أيضا لدينا تقليد في غرب استراليا عند العودة من مثل هذه المنتديات القومية بتنظيم جلسة لاستعراض الخبرات مع بقية المهتمين بالمسرح بغرب استراليا، وعرض التجربة بكافة ايجابياتها وسلبياتها كي تخلق معرفة تراكمية يمكن ان تساعد المشاركين الجدد الذي يشاركون للمرة الاولى حتى يكون ذلك بمثابة استعداد للدورة القادمة، ولتوفير مقارنة واضحة للمداومين و ولكافة الحاضرين المتابعين.”
وقال ايضاً: “حضور هذه الفعالية مختبر عملي لي في تجربة الكتابة الجماعية مع فريق “الموسوعة الأدائية” الكندي وشركة التسجيل الحي المباشر حيث أنه تمرين عملي مكثف لمدة أربعة أيام متواصلة تشهد جهدا إضافيا لمواصلة رسالتي في الحياة وهي الكتابة الإبداعية التي تطمح ان تجمل هذا العالم وتخلصه من القبح والدمامة، و ايضاً تبادل الخبرات والتلاقح مع خبرات مع كتابات وكُتاب آخرين عبر عصف ذهني مكثف يغذي الذاكرة ويشحذها بمخزون وافر من الحبر السائل الطازج لحروف آتية بلا شك”.
الجدير بالذكر أن الكاتب المسرحي والشاعر عفيف إسماعيل حاصل على العديد من الجوائز بأستراليا في مجال الكتابة المسرحية، أبرزها جائزة التفرغ للكتابة المسرحية لمدة عام من اتحاد الكتاب المسرحيين الأستراليين في ٢٠٠٨م، كما تم ايضا ترشيح نص مسرحيته للأطفال ” الساحر الافريقي” من قبل نقابة الكتاب الاستراليين ضمن أفضل النصوص المسرحية لمسرح الطفل في ٢٠١٠م و التي انتجتها شركة “باركنج جيكو” بغرب استراليا، كما أنه مثل استراليا في العديد من المحافل الدولية أبرزها مشاركته في عام ٢٠١٤م كمراقب دولي ضمن ستة كتاب من كل القارات بمركز كينيدي للفنون بواشنطن في مهرجان وورشة “أصوات جديدة وروى جديدة” كما قام في عام ٢٠١٦ بكتابة وإخراج ثلاثة مسرحيات قصيرة لمهرجان “الفرينج الدولي” بغرب استراليا.

Award-winning Australian-Sudanese writer, Afeif Ismail, was selected to attend the Australian Theatre Forum 2017 (ATF2017) in Adelaide, South Australia (3-5 October), as an independent delegate. Also, Afeif was chosen to join other five Australian writers to be part of the Keynote Project ‘Performance Encyclopedia’ run by Canadian performance company, ‘Public Recordings’ beginning on 1 October.
Afeif said, “As a voluntary ambassador for the culture and civilization of the Great Black Pharaohs, I look forward to exchanging knowledge and cultural experiences with all the other artists involved in ATF2017. This forum will enrich my creative abilities and enable me to continue my mission in life, which is writing. Moreover, the forum is a platform to share my thoughts about the transcreation, my unique collaboration with Dr. Vivienne Glance, which we employ to realise my work in English. Transcreation is an artistic reworking of a literal translation that aims to keep the cultural richness of the original language, by working with the creator of the text.”
ATF2017 is a biennial gathering of over 400 representatives from the Australian theatre and the wider performing arts sector. Bringing together practitioners, producers and cultural provocateurs from across the country, the ATF provides a platform for an exchange of ideas.
Afeif plans to build relationships with as many directors and producers as possible so he can increase opportunities for the wider production of his work for young audiences, especially his plays The African Magician, and Son of the Nile, 3 Seeds and Circles of Return.
The African Magician, produced in 2010 by Barking Gecko Theatre Company in Western Australian was directed by Jeremy Rice and co-transcreated from Arabic by Dr. Vivienne Glance. It received rave reviews, rapturous audience responses and an Australian Writers’ Guild Award nomination. Critics described it as “engaging”, “faultless in tone” and “joyous”.
“Afeif’s plays make a unique contribution Australian theatre and challenge Western audiences’ understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural artistic practice. Afeif’s work cannot be pigeonholed as “African”, although it sometimes employs African storytelling practice and takes an uncompromising position on African and international politics. His theatrical inspirations include the Absurdist theatre of Beckett and the political theatre of Augusto Boal and Berthold Brecht. His writing is dense with topical and historical references and always spiced with his wry humour that invites us to laugh at humanity and ourselves,” says Jeremy Rice.
Son of the Nile is a magical, hilarious and moving play set on the banks of the great River Nile in Sudan where the story is told by the River itself. Son of the Nile speaks of our contract with the earth, and of the importance of honour and trust, and keeping your word. “…Son of the Nile never becomes too heavy handed or moralistic; this play is simply a great helping of theatrical fun for all ages!” said director, Dr. David Moody.
