نمي إلى علم اليوناميد أن خبرا قد نشرته وكالة سونا بتاريخ 16 سبتمبر 2014 ينسب لي قولا بقبول دولة قطر بنقل ملف مفاوضات دارفور من الدوحة إلى أدس أبابا. وقد تناقل هذا الخبر بعض وسائل الإعلام مشيرة إلى سونا كمصدر للخبر.
أود التأكيد على أن هذا الخبر المنسوب لي غير صحيح؛ وإنما ما قلته تحديدا هو ترحيب معالي نائب رئيس الوزراء القطري بتعزيز جهود الوساطة في آلية واحدة. علما بأننا قد وافينا كافة وسائل الإعلام بنص كلمتي الافتتاحية في المؤتمر بالغتين العربية والإنجليزية وكذلك نص الأسئلة والأجوبة باللغة العربية في أعقاب المؤتمر الصحفي. ليس هنالك اي تصريح من هذا القبيل
نحن نقوم بتوزيع هذا التصحيح على قائمة وسائل الإعلام لدينا بهدف تصحيح السجل.

UNAMID’s attention has been drawn the news item published by SUNA on 16 September, 2014, ascribing to me that Qatar has agreed to move the Darfur negotiations file from Doha to Addis Ababa. This statement was reported by a few media organisations quoting SUNA as their source.
I categorically deny that I made such a statement. What I said specifically is that the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the augmentation of mediation efforts into a synchronised and harmonized mechanism.
We have shared (my opening remarks English and Arabic) as well as a transcript of the Q&A (Arabic) with the media immediately after the press conference. There is no such statement by me in these records.
We are sharing this rectification to all our media contacts in the interest of correcting the record.
