طالب تقرير من منظمة UN Watch باستبعاد الدبلوماسي حسن إدريس أحمد صالح من منصب نائب رئيس لجنة الأمم المتحدة المشرفة على 4500 منظمة حقوق إنسان غير حكومية.
وقال هيليل نوير المدير التنفيذي لمنظمة مراقبة الأمم المتحدة: “إذا سمح للرجل المتهم بالاعتداء الجنسي أن يواصل الإشراف على مئات من منظمات حقوق الإنسان المدافعة عن حقوق المرأة, فإن ذلك سيلقي بظلاله على سمعة الأمم المتحدة ككل”

António Guterres should remove a U.N. official who was detained by police and handcuffed after he groped a woman in a Manhattan bar early Sunday.
Sudanese diplomat Hassan Salih, who in May was elected vice-chair of the U.N. committee that oversees the work of 4,500 human rights NGOs, grabbed the 23-year-old victim’s buttocks and breast while dancing at Third Avenue’s Bar None around 2:25 a.m., reported the New York Post.
While police were interviewing the U.N. vice-chair and his victim, he tried to escape, so police handcuffed Salih and put him in a police cruiser, sources said. But Salih invoked diplomatic immunity, and was allowed to go free after police confirmed he worked at the United Nations.
“If a man accused of sexual assault should be allowed to continue overseeing hundreds of human rights groups that defend the rights of women, this will cast a shadow upon the reputation of the U.N. as a whole,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a Geneva-based non-governmental human rights organization.

بكل الأسف، ألقت الشرطة الأمريكية القبض على السكرتير الثاني حسن إدريس صالح عضو البعثة الدائمة لجمهورية السودان بالأمم المتحدة فى نيويورك بأحد البارات فى “مانهاتن”، بعد تحرشه بفتاة تبلغ من العمر 23 عاماً.
السكرتير الثاني حسن إدريس صالح من الكوادر الوسيطة التي دخلت وزارة الخارجية مؤخراً ويقال – حسب ما نما الى علمنا – أنه كان قبل التحاقه بالخارجية يعمل فى سكرتارية حرم رئيس الجمهورية ( وداد )، وتم تعيينه سكرتيراً ثانياً ونقل إلى نيويورك قبل عام ونيف .. ينحدر من الجزيرة (أبناء المناقل)، ومتزوج من طبيبة أسنان من أسرة مقيمة بكندا، ولهما طفل لا يتعدى عمره السنة الواحدة .المؤسف أن الحادثة هى الثانية فى بعثة السودان بنيويورك.
وقد حدثت الأولى فى يناير الماضى، ولم يستفد أعضاء البعثة مما حدث لزميلهم السابق. وبشاعة هذه الحادثة، أنها وقعت أحداثها فى ” بار “، لتكون المصيبة مصيبتين: حالة سكر .. وتحرش بفتاة لم يتجاوز عمرها 23 عاماً، بالإضافة لمحاولة الهرب من الشرطة، لتلقي الشرطة عليه القبض، وتطلق سراحه لتمتعه بالحصانة البلوماسية.
والسؤال هو:
