I recall the seventeenth of November 1981 , at Khartoum International Airport, seating myself comfortably and confidently on board Tri Star Jambo Jet heading for Jeddah.
Before , I visited Jeddah twice to perform ( Omra ) , but later the imigration to Saudi Arabia continued for nine years during which as an expatriate I joined Dalla Avco Trans Arabia Company service, job title a translator ، place of work Jizan Regional Airport.
From my desk l used to send a daily message to Al – Sharq Al – Awsat Newspaper, namely to ( The Parliament Page ) , which takes care of amateur journalists.
Never believed my eyes when they published elegantly the preliminary article that l sent to them after many attempts.
( Cure Yourself by Yourself ) , It was the title of the lucky correspondence , near which my name was engraved defiantly,. giving me the feeling of greater accomplishment and self satisfaction.
Of course I rejoiced, committed myself to continue in persistence that project of writing, went on with other colleagues dominating the Parliament Page, the readers digest for democracy.
Through this grand forum where views are exchanged worldwide, we were delighted enough that our names rosinated high internally and externally.
I was deeply happy that to be acquainted to different nationls locally and around the globe .
It is worthwhile mentioning the Syrian Irfan nizamoldein , one of the prominent journalists who lead Al – Sharq Al – Awsat from success to success by his wise leadership and adoption of democracy.
But when his successor showed up things differ totally ، we regretly missed our beloved page, the Parliament of Al – Sharq Al – Alawsat .
