The Qatari National Carrier flew us from Khartoum to Al – Doha where my transit stay was about 8 hours.
Since no accomodation , of any kind , was granted to me , I felt sad When the official at the Information desk reassured that l was not entitled to an hotel with full board stay or less than that .
I turned to look for a seat hoping that the 8 hours would pass smoothly considering that my trip to America would take 14 non – stop hours.
I heard behind me a shout of :
( Yazoul – Yazoul come back ) !!..
I stood again before the Information desk thinking that there was something wrong which made me a little bit scared.
The official talked to me tenderly prazing Sudanese Nationals as noble, decent characterised by fine manners and nice hospitality !!..
( Look Yazoul , I appreciate your deep concern with the copulsary waiting you had to endure before you board again the tiring long flight that will drop you on Chicago. I never done that before but Iam giving you this favour because I respect Sudanese for their multi merits especially their hospitality and good conduct. Please take this paper and hand it to the reseptionst of our local hotel, they will offer you lodging, food and water plus juice without charges or fees of any kind ) !!..
There in a luxurious, comfortable room I was able to say my prayers , enjoy delicious food then stretched flat on a bed with spongy mattress and featherly pillows. I went in fast sleep till the alarm waked me up to prepare myself to cross the Atlantic via the magnificent Qatari Jampo – Jet the carrier which topped all the competent flight companies worldwide.
