قال السفير توماس يوليشني ، رئيس بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان أن الاتحاد الأوروبي يتطلع للتعاون البناء مع السودان تحت ادارة المفوضية الأوروبية الجديدة والتى تولت مهامها في بروكسل هذا الشهر. وأضاف السفير توماس يوليشني أن سياسة الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان واضحة وتدعو دائما من أجل تحقيق السلام والاستقرار و تعزيز الديمقراطية واحترام حقوق الإنسان في السودان.
واضاف “اننا في الاتحاد الاوروبي سوف نستمر في الدعوة والعمل مع السلطات السودانية والجهات المعنية لتحقيق هذه الأهداف. لقد تحسنت في الفترة الاخيرة العلاقات بين الاتحاد الأوروبي مع السودان، ونحن نتطلع إلى مزيد من التقدم في المجالات السياسية والتنموية والتعاون الإنساني”.
وقال السفير توماس يوليشني أن المفوضية الاوروبية الجديدة تجمع كوكبة من القادة الاوروبيين. وأضاف أن الاتحاد الأوروبي سيستمر في دعم السودان والشعب السوداني في عملية انتقاله إلى الديمقراطية والاصلاح الداخلي، ليعيش في سلام مع نفسه ومع جيرانه. وأضاف أن عملية الحوار الوطني التي بدأت حاليا هي أفضل فرصة لإحراز تقدم نحو تحقيق هذه الأهداف. ,اضاف أن الاتحاد الاوروبي سيستمر في العمل مع السودان في مجالات حقوق الإنسان والعلاقات الاقتصادية، والسلام الإقليمي والاستقرار في منطقة القرن الأفريقي وكذلك التنسيق في التحديات العالمية بما في ذلك الهجرة والاتجار بالبشر وتغير المناخ.
European Union Ambassador: the EU looks for constructive cooperation with Sudan under the new European Commission
Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan said that the European Union looks for constructive cooperation with Sudan as a new European Commission took office in Brussels. “The European Union policy on Sudan always called for peace, stability, democratization and respect to human rights”. Ambassador Tomas Ulicny.
“We will continue to call and work with the Sudanese authorities and stakeholders to realize these policy aims. The European Union dialogue with Sudan has been enhanced lately and we look for more progress in the political, development and humanitarian cooperation.” Ambassador Tomas said.
Ambassador Ulicny said the new EU Commission assembled a talented group of new European leaders. The EU supports Sudan and the Sudanese people in their transition to an internally reformed democracy, living in peace with itself and with its neighbours. The initiated National Dialogue process is currently the best opportunity to make progress towards these goals. Both Sudan and the EU can work on democratic transition, human rights and economic relations, regional peace and stability in the Horn of Africa as well as on global challenges including migration, human trafficking and climate change.
Background
The new European Commission officially took office on Saturday, 1 November 2014. The term of the European Union’s executive body led by Jean-Claude Juncker will expire on 31 October 2019. The new head of the Commission, aided by seven Vice-Presidents and twenty Commissioners, takes the helm at a time when the European Union faces many internal and external challenges. The newly appointed commissioners include former Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini, who will succeed Catherine Ashton as the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission. Neven Mimica (Croatia) will be in charge of International Cooperation and Development. Christos Stylianides (Cyprus) will be in charge of Humanitarian Aid & Crisis Management. Cecilia Malmström takes over the Trade file.

وفد الاتحاد الاوروبي يبدا زيارة الى جنوب دارفور
التقى السفير توماس يوليشني، رئيس بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان مع مجموعة من الصحفيين قبل الزيارة المقررة التي سيقوم بها سفراء الاتحاد الأوروبي لزيارة ولاية جنوب دارفور هذا الاسبوع. وأوضح السفير توماس للصحفيين أن “الزيارة تأتى في وقت مهم لتجديد التزام الاتحاد الأوروبي لتعزيز حل سلمي عادل وشامل للأزمة في دارفور بدلا عن الخيار العسكري والذى لا يمكن أن يمثل حلا. وأضاف أن السفراء ورؤساء البعثات من إيطاليا وفرنسا والسويد والمملكة المتحدة وألمانيا وهولندا واسبانيا سيشاركون في هذه الزيارة. وأضاف سفير الاتحاد الاوروبي ان الوفد الاوروبي الزائر وخلال الزيارة سيلتقى مع والى جنوب دارفور واعضاء السلطة الإقليمية في دارفور ومجموعة واسعة من المنظمات الوطنية والدولية العاملة في دارفور. وأضاف إن الاجتماعات مهمة لتنوير سفراء الاتحاد الأوروبي حول التقدم في المجالات السياسية والتنموية و الإنسانية على الارض.
أعلنت بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في وقت سابق أن الزيارة سيتم توسيعها لتشمل المشاريع التي يمولها الاتحاد الأوروبي في مجالات الصرف الصحي والخدمات الصحية الأساسية، والإمدادات الغذائية، والديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان والتعليم والأمن الغذائي لسكان جنوب دارفور وخصوصا في معسكرات النازحين.
وقال السفير توماس يوليشني أنه في أعقاب الزيارة الأخيرة لسفراء الاتحاد الاوروبي والتي تمت في العام الماضي لولايات شرق السودان. كانت هناك زيادة في المساعدات التنموية والانسانية في الاتحاد الأوروبي في مجالات التعليم والصحة. كما سمح لقيادات شرق السودان بزيارة العواصم الأوروبية لتعزيز الحوار السوداني الاوروبي وحشد الدعم لاتفاق أسمرا. وقال السفير توماس: “نحن نأمل أن تفعل الشيء نفسه هذه المرة لدارفور حيث نسعى الى تسليط الضوء على الاحتياجات المتزايدة للمساعدات والدعم الدولي من أجل التنفيذ الكامل للاتفاقيات الدوحة”.
European Union Ambassadors begin a visit to South Darfur
Ambassador Tomas Ulicny, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Sudan met with a group of Journalists ahead of the visit of the European Union (EU) Ambassadors visit to South Darfur this week. Ambassador Tomas explained the “visit comes at an important time to renew the European Union commitment to promote a peaceful, just and comprehensive solution to the crisis in Darfur where the military option cannot represent a solution. He added that the Ambassadors and Heads of Mission of Italy, France, Sweden, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands and Spain will take part in the visit. “During the visit, we will meet with the Governor of South Darfur, the Darfur Regional Authority and a wide selection of national and international organizations. The meetings will inform the EU Ambassadors about the progress in the political, development and humanitarian areas” Ambassador Tomas said. The Delegation of the European Union to Sudan announced earlier that the visit will be extended to cover EU funded projects in the areas of water sanitation, basic health services, food supply, democracy and human rights and education to the population of South Darfur, where many remain displaced.
Ambassador Tomas Ulicny said that following last year visit to East Sudan, there was an increased EU development aid in the areas of education and health. It also allowed the Eastern leaders to visit European countries to enhance political dialogue and seek support to the Asmara Agreement. “We hope we can do the same this time to Darfur were we can shed light on the existing needs for international aid and support for the full implementation of Doha Agreements”, Ambassador Tomas said.
